Diversity Makes You Brighter – And It Doesn’t Matter Who “You” Are

Synopsis: In his talk Prof. Stark will discuss the link between the economy and social diversity, with a specific focus on the business sector. He has extensive expertise in economic sociology and has published works on the interrelation between diversity and economic advantage, including the study titled, "Ethnic Diversity Deflates Price Bubbles," which appeared in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences in 2014. Attendees of Prof. Stark's public talk will learn:

1. how social diversity positively affects markets and deflates price bubbles
2. the ways in which diversity stimulates the economy more broadly (i.e. facilitates trade flows)
3. how diversity boosts the sustainability of public finances
4. how the advantages of diversity can be fully exploited
